Tech and Tape Program Manager & After School Curriculum Developer
Sylvia received a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley and her Masters in Library and Information Science. She is passionate about developing engaging hands-on tech projects and creating ways to bring high-quality STEM curriculum to the masses.

Amy is an educator who is passionate about creating innovative educational spaces where kids feel capable of changing their lives and the world. Amy co-founded the Detroit Food Academy, worked for the Hawaii Board of Education, was a secondary ELA teacher, and received a M.Ed in Policy and Leadership from University of Michigan.
Director of Programs and Grants
Melissa is deeply interested in volunteer service and being involved in her community. Melissa holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and worked as a mechanical engineer for Northrop Grumman.
Director of Research
David received a PhD from UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. He studies how teachers and students collaboratively tell productive stories about struggle, how students think with their bodies, and how we can best support and excite students in computer science education.
A Los Angeles native, Jeannette joined the 9 Dots team in 2014. Jeannette holds an Associate of Arts and Certificate of Achievement in Photography from Santa Monica College. At 9 Dots, Jeannette serves as a parent liaison and manages day to day operations.

A lifelong coder and video gamer, Daniel is fluent in all things kid tech. Whether it's teaching Mindstorm robotics, MIT's Scratch, the modern web stack or Minecraft, Daniel knows how to turn kids into innovators.
Special Initiatives Manager
Laura holds a BA from Villanova University. She enjoys sharing her newfound passion for coding through the weekend and summer coding programs at 9 Dots. Laura also leads professional development for educators new to computer science.
After School Program Manager
Devin holds a BS in behavioral neuroscience from UCLA and recently received her Master's of Public Health from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She finds fulfillment in promoting student wellness and helping each student discover how their individual passion and innovation can improve the world.
Josh received his B.S. in computer science from Stanford University. He has previously worked in the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Robot Lab and as a software engineer at a hedge fund. He aspires to teach all kids to love coding and creating as much as he does.

Kristen holds a BS and MS in Earth Systems from Stanford University and, prior to working at 9 Dots, worked as a sustainability consultant in Orange County. At 9 Dots, Kristen enjoys combining her knowledge and experience in science and engineering with her passion for education.

Oscar holds an MA in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University. Prior to joining 9 Dots, he taught science and served as Dean of S.T.E.M. at a local charter school. His passion is sharing his interest in coding with students of all ages.

Ma'ayan enjoys challenging her students to explore their world in new ways. She has eight years of experience as a teacher and instructional coach in Los Angeles. Ma'ayan studied computer science as an undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College and earned an MA in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
