ASSIGNING A LESSON TO YOUR CLASS

ASSIGNING THE FIRST LESSON IN A COURSE

1. Once you've added students and a course to your class, and you're ready to start teaching the first lesson in the course, you can click the pink Start button in your class dashboard. Doing so will assign the first lesson in the course to all of the students in your class.

2. Once the first lesson has been assigned, you will see the expanded view of the lesson appear underneath the Active Lesson heading at the top of your dashboard. You can click on Lesson Plan and Slides to view the lesson plan and slideshow associated with the active lesson. When clicked, each will open in a new tab at the top of your browser.

ASSIGNING SUBSEQUENT LESSONS IN A COURSE

As your class moves through the course, you will need to assign each new lesson to them. To do so, from your class dashboard view, scroll down past the active lesson to the full course progression. You'll notice that every lesson has an Assign button. Simply click Assign on the lesson that you'd like to assign to your class.

Once assigned, the Assign button for that lesson will turn green and the expanded view of the lesson will appear underneath the Active Lesson heading at the top of your dashboard.

STUDENT VIEW OF AN ASSIGNED LESSON

As soon as you assign a lesson to your class, each student in the class will, after logging in, see the lesson pop up with a big pink START button (as shown below).

NOTE: Make sure to read the lesson plan before allowing students to get started on the playlist, as most lessons will start with teacher-led exercises before students begin working on computers.
